I’ve installed the great Nofollow Case by Case plugin and used it to remove the nofollow tags from the comment links. So please comment - your links will work as they are meant too and pass on search engine ranking benefits.
I decided to do this after reading this excellent post on Martin Reed’s blog. He sums up it up pretty well:
Why should I remove the ‘nofollow’ attribute in WordPress?
If visitors come to your blog and know that the URL contained within their comment will be counted by the search engines, they have more incentive to post as they know they will be adding value to their own website each time they comment.
Comments on a blog enhance the user experience and encourage others to become more involved in your community.
If you decide to remove the ‘nofollow’ attribute, be sure to tell your readers! This gives them yet another reason to contribute to your blogging community.
He’s got a great blog there btw - definitely worth reading.
Spammers be warned… Spam Karma is doing a great job at eating your shit!

Hey man,
Looks like you do learn something new every day, I didn’t know about this particular plug-in, thanks for sharing, I just read a few posts, shame to say this is my first visit but I try to get around to read what others are talking about these days, mainly at 2 or 3am like now.
Oh and just as a quick little tip, you should read my newest post at WickedFire about Spam Karma, Its under the traffic section –> Complete Guide To Wordpress & Blogging, it will make you re-think your security a little bit better.
Cheers for dropping by!
I’m going to install a captcha when I finally get around to sorting this blog! That won’t stop trackback spam though, will it? Spam Karma seems to be going a good job of stopping that so far, I guess with that and a captcha I should be a bit better protected. It’s not like this blog is very busy anyway on the spam front.
Thanks, def will take this into consideration =)

Hi:
Glad to hear you are sharing the Link Love. I originally heard about this movement through Dawud Miracle at Healthy Web Design. It seems odd to me that the blogs were set up as nofollow’s.
Thanks again for spreading the link love. I hope this change increases your traffic, your comments and your links.
Chris
Hello - I really appreciate the work you put into this site so far. I will be sharing your site with some of my internet marketing colleagues today.
Michael
I just visited your blog and seen all those post you made about certain types of internet marketing you can use to create income. The latest techniques you talk about have been very informative to me.Thanks!
If the Spam Killer product eats bad postings (i.e., spammy postings) and you’ve eliminated the nofollow tag, I think that’s the perfect scenario. Thanks for doing that. I hope more blog webmasters will follow your lead. I can see why webmasters do it, though. If spammy postings become excessive as they ofen do, it’s understandable.
You have a nice blog. I’m glad it’s successful for you.
Thanks much,
Glenn R.
