It’s all a bit mad at Digg.com at the moment!
Someone posted these numbers: 09 f9 11 02 9d 74 e3 5b d8 41 56 c5 63 56 88 c0 - The processing key for every HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Disk produced to date! Wired reported on the cracking of this code back in February.
Digg removed them at the request of HD-DVD (co-incidentally a major sponsor) and posted about it.
Digg members have revolted by Digging hundreds (if not thousands) of stories featuring the magic numbers! The whole place is full of posts about these numbers!
Madness! These numbers are everywhere - even on eBay!
I bet that code gets changed pretty quickly.
It looks like, by choosing to back the guys with the money over it’s users Digg has really shot itself in the foot.
This post is mostly just to see how many diggs it gets as I’m guessing most people reading this already know about the Digg fiasco.
